There is nothing strange or weird about the file format. Whatever the problem is, it's at the download end.
Can you download OK on a normal PC?
Yes, just tried a download on a Windows PC no problem. I accept that the problem is 'this end' and will sort it eventually. Googling, I found that a corrupted SD card can cause the problem but if that was the case how would the browser (Chrome for Android) open PDFs from other websites?
An Android tablet is convenient for storing and reading and, indeed, consulting such docs so I can always download to PC and transfer. Can't blame WIN 10 this time!
Strangely, I have just had an issue with a PDF I received attached to an email. When I try and open it on my iPhone, I get a blank page. It opens OK on the MacBook.
It's only a one page document, so no file size issues.
