To say that the weather was spectacular over Waddo today would be an understatement. It was like Armaggedon had visited Lincolnshire at times. The most dramatic skies i've ever seen, black angry looking clouds like those in Close Encounters, thunder and lightning bolts everywhere either directly overhead or pretty much constantly in the dark distance, flash floods....and lovely warm sunshine and blue skies!!!!!! Oh! and the aircraft were pretty good as well. Here's one that sort of sets the tone of the day -

No mate. I'll have to have a look for that. I was there when it happened though!!! There were flashes of lightning everywhere most of the day. Wisely, they curtailed there practise routine and landed. I didn't blame 'em!

I saw this Gnat's rather heavy landing as well -

Just seen this on Anglia News website:

Emergency crews have been called to an air show at the Old Warden Aerodrome in Bedfordshire following a serious aircraft crash.

It happened at around 9.45am as 600 people attended a Military Pageant Air Show.

The incident is being investigated by the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) who are in attendance at the airfield.

The ambulance service have confirmed they ware called to treat a man who had been seriously injured.
