BOMB STORE - LOCATIONS

I asked for Bramcote but now see that I already had it plotted. I must have written down the wrong name! Senility!

Looking at available satellite images, it is no wonder that I could not find the BS for Worksop or Sandtoft.

Both opened in 1943 and had Type D pattern bomb stores to AM drawing 567/43 or 1212/43.

The sites have been obliterated by agricultural reclamation.

Nothing, apart from what is probably parts of the access road remain.
It is quite difficult not to leave some clues during reclamation but it has happened here! However, the mid war pattern bomb stores had all temporary buildings, often on hardcore bases not concrete, and usually hutting so the most difficult work would have been levelling earth bank traverses.

I figured that was a Fuzing Point location on the road to the south of your pointer but wasn't sure.
