I have a note in my records that refer to additional sidings were built at Glazebrook Station.

To the south of Bank Street were built two large camps. These were part of HMS Gosling and these particular outposts were part of a radar training facility.

The Old-Maps website clearly shows the site on its 1955 OS Plan (I'm afraid that I currently don't know to capture that page and produce it here - answers please!)

The site for Harlow was quite hard to locate, particularly as there has been so much re-development here, which started soon after the war.

I was particularly pleased to find that I had the RSP for the site. I wished that I had realised this sooner, thereby saving me much time on my search. Perhaps if I had phoned Bishops Stortford 1051 and got hold of the AMWD Section Officer, I could have saved more time. Maybe not, it's a 1940s number!

The location is at NGR TL 467115 here wtp2.appspot.com/wheresthepath.htm.

The land was requisitioned (purchased according to the plan) on 17.05.40.

The Old-Maps website shows the installation on its OS County Series 1947-1951.

The Norfolk Map Explorer 1945/46 gives quite a good aerial of the site at this NGR, which is not all far from Gayton Road station.

I considered this but couldn't find a map which gave a positive indication

For other viewers, I use the free downloadable app 'Snipping Tool' to capture screen sections. I'm sure there are other way but this works for me.

Now developed with housing.

Site was between Wellpark Road and Dinnie Place with access on Northern Road. Kintore Station downline but siding on NE side of Norther Road could have served the depot.

My records say that the Depot was in use in January 1942, but, not in June 1944. The reference from which I gleaned that information long ago must have been wrong, because in the same piece, reference was made to the AMWD Section Officer being based at Union Street, Aberdeen, while the main man in town, the Superintendent Engineer of No.15 Works Area was at Queens Road, Aberdeen
