Henlands Farm, Silham or Selham?

Henlands Farm, Silham or Selham? was created by Wellyboot
I'm working through the Service Record of a Wellington Sergeant 2nd pilot who came back from Egypt late in 1942 or early in 1943. He ended up with 25 Group HQ after four or five months of a few short moves, but one which means nothing to me is an entry listed as Henlands Farm, Silham or perhaps Selham. This was sandwiched between two spells at Uxbridge. I see that there is a Selham in West Sussex, but it doesn't appear to be relevant. Any ideas anyone?

There is a Henlands Farm 3m west of Dunkeswell airfield in Devon but I can't find a WW2 connection.

I did wonder whether it was some sort of R&R or rest home. He came back after just 10 sorties, having survived a couple of bad crashes in training (one a fatal) and a further one with 148 Squadron in Egypt prior to the first battle of El Alamein. Probably not in the best state of mind after that.

Apparently there was an airfield near the hamlet of Selham, where the polo field is now located. It was known as Royal Naval Air Station Cowdray Park.

I think that the farm's name is probably Hurlands Farm, not Henlands Farm. I don't know the connection between farm and airfield, though.

No harm in contacting them and ask if they know anything about the farm during WW2.

Evelyn, thanks for the suggestion. I've done a little Googling, as that BigBarn website for the farm doesn't seem to have altered since 2014. I found the Lodsworth Heritage Society website which lists over 20 farms in the area, including previous names, and Hurlands has always been called by that name since 1778. It's clearly written as Henlands on the service record, just the Silham or Selham which is less clear.
