You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!
Scottish Site Identification was created by Paul Francis
Unknown site on the east coast of Scotland. Might be in Fife or more likely south of Edinburgh. Where is is it, what is it and is it still there? Site visited in April 1991 with Mr. Carnaby. Or it might be northumberland!. Can't believe it was 25 years ago.

The photo however immediately reminded me of a site adjacent to Talbenny Airfield. I discovered a while ago what this was and it seems to be the RAF Ripperston GCI station.

So is it a Scottish GCI site? I bet Mr Briscoe will be along !
Plan A is always more effective when the problem you are working on understands that Plan B will involve the use of dynamite

25 years! Ouch. I can't remember this site at all, but I can still remember that awful meal we had in Wick, and the even worse experience in Dumfries.Site visited in April 1991 with Mr. Carnaby. ]. Can't believe it was 25 years ago.

I only saw it after conversion to a house, I have not got my pictures online because we were asked not to 'publish' when we went around but it was up for sale with a brochure .4
The area around it looks similar and there was a Type 7 down the track past the site.
