Airfield location identification

Airfield location identification was created by RichardWW
I am researching locations used in the 1954 film Dangerous Cargo for our Website www.reelstreets.com and am hopeful that the knowledge base here will be able to help identify the airfield used for filming. I attach three screen grabs, one showing the control tower which may or may not be a stock shot unrelated to the working airfield, a second showing what is certainly used as the main entrance and the third showing BOAC hanger No:5. Hangar No:8 also appears in the film.

I would be very appreciate of any help that can be given and due acknowledgement will certainly be given to any information provided.

The control tower is the original one at Heathrow, and the rest of the images were almost certainly shot there too.

Many thanks Paul, that is a real help. Full credit to you will appear when the film captures are on Site. Much appreciated. I am sure we have some airfields on our Site already that need identification.

Yes they are all Heathrow - I remember the B1 hangar and as PB has already stated, the top picture shows the orginal VHT tower.

You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!
