Good find Sumpter. It confirms my original suspicion, and unfortunately proves that the location given on the USAAF flyer isn't too accurate (N51 52 30, E00 33 30). It is actually N51 51 53 E00 32 13.

That article also confirms Great Waltham as its receiving station.

The Winter edition of the "Great Notley Times", the parish council magazine contains two short articles on the Queenborough Lane site and the White Court hospital. The first article essentially replicates that in the link in post 11. If anyone is particularly interested, please PM me.
