I know this isn't necessarily the right site to ask, however I would appreciate some feedback with regard to this aircraft!
The father of a friend of mine who was an avid photographer took this photo at Hull Docks 30's-40's
We know it was owned by Major Sidney Cotton of (Sidcot suits, clandestine arial photography ) fame. However I am unsure of the make and have been unable to trace a record of the registration number.
We would like to be able to fill in the blanks for this photo, any info would be appreciated
Bellanca CH-300 Pacemaker. According to Italian aircraft registrations site, I-AAPI belonged to Franco Mazzotti/Sesto S.Giovanni from 11.02.30 until exported to the UK 8.32 becoming G-ABNW with SA Courtauld /Hanworth,Hon BE Lewis/Aldenham,CStJ Collier /Doncaster, Cunliffe Owen Aircraft Ltd, impressed as DZ209 18.7.41 DZ209.
I'm guessing the export date is the date when the pic was taken?
We can now fill in some more of blanks from his collection. Some of his photo's are very interesting, especially for those of us in the Hull area. However he has several taken from the local area, a couple attached here of Howden Airship hanger.
With regard to the book, I have just downloaded the Kindle edition of this, as the book itself is fetching such silly prices.
Greg not sure why that is, if you double click on it, it opens for me. However if you PM me your email address I can send it to you.
This is the message I get when using the link:
