Hi all
I found these picture on a storage CD from 2005 I have now forgotten where it is and I cant see any likely places on GE.
As far as I can remember I turned off the A1 heading roughly eastwards somewhere north of the A14 I went through a small village with a crossroads then the airfield would have been on the left some RAF buildings where on the right I think they where being used for vehicle repairs the road then curved round to the left to I thinks was the end of the runway. I didn't spend any time there as I had gone a long way out of my way and these where the only picture I took.

The end of the runway from the road.

From the same position
To the left of the runway a private plane, behind the trees is the road where the RAF buildings are.

Turn around 180 deg was this water tower might be nothing to do with the airfield but looked similar to the one at Glatton with a few aerials on top

Not one I recognise but there are two I'm thinking of, Little Gransden or maybe Spanhoe.

If you turned eastwards off the A1, and given the water tower, isn't it Glatton/Conington/Holme?

Appreciate the replies.
Afraid none of the above though.
Warboys was one of my targets that day but there was a lot more there than this place, in that sort of area but I think a bit further NE.

There is nothing really that I can think of NE of Warboys, unless it was an army camp of some description. The airstrip is obviously a private strip as well, I tought it could be one of the ones at Winwick, near Molesworth but i couldn't find a match using streetview
