Does Anyone Know What This Is

This was fiited to the wall of a recently bricked up Battle Centre. Does anyone know its use or purpose?

Comms/Network equipment by the looks of it. It's got a Class 1 laser warnng on it which kind of implies it's fibre optic. It also says "Rack 8" at the top and there doesn't seem to be more than signal/power going into it so it could be a very small data rack with some sort of computer it it. If it had more outlets I would of said it was a router.

It's a wall mount rack box - when the door is opened, there should be spaces for pieces of equipment. Which raises the question as to whether the OP took a photo with the door open!
