Both Charles Andrews ( Supermarine Aircraft since 1914 ) and Jack Bruce ( British Aeroplanes 1914-1918 ) say that the P.B.31 was tested by Clifford Prodger at Eastchurch, its predecessor the P.B.29 was flown and crashed at RNAS Chingford.
