I am aware that Kircassock House, which was near the village of Magheralin to the Southeast of Lurgan and is now demolished, was Headquarters for the 8th U.S.A.A.F. Composite Command.
There was also a United States Navy Flying Boat Headquarters at Crumlin close to Belfast International Airport.
My questions are - What took place at these locations? Were they simply grand accommodation for Senior Officers while they planned various operations or were the grounds utilised for ordinary ranks?
