miscellaneous concrete ?

Has anybody got any ideas on these two items, i found them on a building base at site 2 at Llanbedr,
Mr Carnaby, any ideas could they be water basins ?

The pointed one fits in the corner of a room, the octagonal one is usually in the centre of a room or away from the wall.
Those that fit against a straight wall are normally D-shaped, although the octagonal ones could be used if nothing else was available.

That's an interesting variant on the usual room-corner pointed type, almost as if it's designed to be bonded into the wall.

The D-shaped ones are basically the regular octagonal type but with one of the narrow ends being flat rather than having angled corners.
