I noticed this place as i was passing on the train and didnt know it was there. It is off Tillbridge Lane close to the rail crossing.

I have no info on this at all so please could anyone enlighten me.
I think its a fuel store for the Raf.

...a large underground Air Ministry Fuel depot at Stowe Park, near Gainsboro', supplying 'dromes such as Scampton.

Brampton: 3,000 tons type C2? SK 861800
Brampton: 5,000 tons type C2?

This is as quoted in AP3236. The site seems to possess two tanks; the anomaly is that the C2 is described as a 4,000 ton tank, though total capacity is 8,000 tons, which fits.

It's here in WTP.

Stowe Park is probably its post war label. A few fuel depots that stayed in use are now know by different names.
