I have been scanning shots to put up on my website. One of my failings is that I have not always recorded where I took the some of the shots. Normally I can hazard a guess but this one below I dont know where it was taken. Can members assist in identifying the location please. The shot would be from the late 80's early 90's I think.

That'll be RAF St Mawgan, my home to this day (known as Newquay airport now of course) I'm guessing taken very late 80's to early 90's going by the Nimrods paint job with low vis roundals and white numbers.
All the buildings in the back ground along the fence line are all gone now, as is the DRDF and the Anemometer. This would have been taken from the Western end of the airfield. The cows are still there !!
Memories........... I've forgotten what they are !!
I would go with Abingdon aswel on that last one, scenery looks right and the BA VC-10s were taken there before they became RAF tankers. At least three Canberras went ended their days there, this might be one of them?
Thanks for that - I can now go and check Wrecks & Relics to try and identify which Canberra it was. I'm not very observant as I hadn't noticed the VC10 which is a bit of a give away.
Hi Hydealfred
In 1994 Wrecks & Relics states Abingdon had 3 Canberras as follows
B2 WH 869/8515M SCR 4-92
B2 WJ678/8864 Sectioned in early 89
T19 XA 536/8989M SCR 3-92
And
Super VC 10 ZD 243 which went to Filton for the K4 programme 6-92
hope it helps
Regards Ian
