Hi Guys,
I need information on a number of things please_
1. Americans at Ellington Thorpe Bombing Range and the Quadrant Towers being manned by Americans.
2. I need as much photo evidence of Raf Kimbolton as possible please.
3. Information and pictures of the Cambridge - Kettering Branch Line and cutting to Raf Kimbolton.
4. SOE Station 61 at Grafham Water very close to Perry please. As much information as possible.

I haven't found any records indicating Ellington (or Ashton) bombing ranges were ever manned by US personnel, just that they were made availabe for AAF use on specified occasions.
(The remaining Quadrant Tower at Ellington looked a tread from the A14 yesterday evening by the way.)
I believe the karting club on the airfield has a collection of items that may include photos though.
I'll see what I can find on 3 & 4 and report back if successful.

I haven't found any records indicating Ellington (or Ashton) bombing ranges were ever manned by US personnel, just that they were made availabe for AAF use on specified occasions.

There is very little in the USAF WWII Photo Archive, NARA's copies of what is is available via Footnote.2. I need as much photo evidence of Raf Kimbolton as possible please.
