Another Mystery Building.

While looking on Google Earth i came accross this building in the middle of a field. This is close to the old Raf South Witham.

Bear in mind that there was provisions for 2 gun points here for the protection of the site.







Anyone got any ideas,

my guess is it is associated with RAF Cottesmore, appears to be in line with the runway

Despite the fact that its almost bang-on Cottesmore's extended runway line, at 7,500 feet, it appears to be a Pumping Station

If so, how disappointing .

Its 1.1mile from the threshold which is the optimum distance for a middle marker, Cottesmore had inner and outers but no middle with the DN811. The outer marker is/was on the road from Colsterworth to Corby Glen.

Not a defensive structure, and relatively recent unfortunately.
Pumping station/modern utilities seems most likely.

posted a pic of the appraoch gubbins a while back cant remember where though! I was thinking maybe something to do with the mines at ThisletonÉÉÉÉ
