Are we on the right airfield Peter ? Llanbedr, Llandwrog ? The former was still a flying site in the C/W period.

Now that I am looking at the correct airfield......I agree with PNK that it might be an EWS tank so that a firetruck could quickly replenish the on board supply.

That it is located adjacent to the post-war runway extension discounts it being WW2 vintage.
