I knew that computer generation was being used to reproduce large numbers of people/monsters/animals etc on screen and that British production teams excel at this speciality but I had no idea that was how they did it for Saving Private Ryan.
This film is over 10 years old and I have always regarded it as one of the best war films from a technical point of view. No wonder some of the more modern productions have reached the point where just about anything can be generated to fool the eye!
Peter this one was only two years ago and made for a television documentary. But still a cast of thousands with only three actors. The way they made explosions in the sand and climbing up a cliff with a blue screen behind. I think AIX ought to make a remake of the Damn Busters.

I was asked by the History Channel to help with a documentary, 'Could I come over to LA'. I sad 'Yes I could but as I live in England I would need a return ticket and expenses'. They could meet me half way. NEW YORK. 'Ok 'I said 'Send a return ticket to NY and my expenses'. 'OH! there's no money in it.' Yes right!!, who makes money in TV????? Its something I ask myself all the time. By the way I have also turned down the CEO of ITV today. Well they haven't asked yet, but I will turn it down. Too busy.

P.S. I found this out when I got asked if a wanted a 'return ticket' at a train station and I said 'I want a both a ticket to GO and one to RETURN!'
