what airfield??

can anyone identify this airfield, the chap standing to the far right is my Uncle who died this year 'Peter Dictas' did his stint in the RAF before becoming the CO of the local ATC for many years, just trying to build up a bit of a portfolio of his service. thanks for any help in advance



the photo below was found in the same place but i am unsure that they are related however it may help pin point it

just to add, he was trained in Hednesford and went on to fly many types all over the uk. ATC was Porthcawl

Emsworth is about 2 miles N of Thorney Island - not that it really proves anything.

Tangemere has this type of hanger still existent, could it be Tangemere?? its close enough

St Athan also had 10 or so of these low Bellmans, actually looks like the current VGS hangar, very similar view and tarmac pattern.

i am now convinced that the 2 pictures are indeed nothing to do with one another, the era is the same, probably the same year but they are unrelated, st.Athan would be likely, due to the proximity of Porthcawl, but it would be nice to have a definite result. cheers
