Can anyone tell me what this sequence of 4 cabinets/boxes are please? They seem to appear on the edge of hard standings or dispersals at larger, bomber, airfields. Originally they seem to have been painted yellow, then green. My guess they are related to refuelling of large aircraft?
Further, does anyone either
1) know where any survive and can be accessed?
2) have detailed photos?
3) have dimensioned drawings of them?
4) know of any drawing numbers?
Were there any variations/modifications/replacements to them over time?
This is all for the purpose of modelling.
