Which MOD Branch?

The attached menu is from a dinner dance I attended in the seventies, probably via my mum who worked for the MOD(PE) at the time but I don't recall the name of the department she worked for.

Anyone recognised the badge on the front?

I think it say Quality Assurance but the third word doesn't look like what I expected it to be. The bracketed word seems to be Weapons and I think the venue was some place in Eltham (SE London) which suggests to me it was from her time at Marlowe House in Sidcup where they shared the building with other government departments including DVLA and Ordnance Survey. It is still the tallest building in the area!

I don't think it was from her time at Woolwich Arsenal where she returned to work in the late sixties, but it could have been.

Thanks, I didn't consider Directorate. Sadly we don't recall when mum moved from Woolwich to Sidcup but I suspect it may have been as a result of those studies. I have fond memories of Woolwich as I went to grammar school there and my sister was also born in the Garrison Hospital. Mum started work at the Arsenal in 1944 just as the V1 campaign started. She went on to work at Fort Halstead where my sister later worked and where my eldest daughter currently works, helping with the final close down.
