Where is this airfield? was created by REF
I have been sent this photo, (copyright unknown) and I am really struggling to place where it is. I am not even sure its orientated correctly or even if its back to front.

I note 4 hangars on there and it is under construction. Guessing 1944 ish.

Any help appreciated as its driving me crazy.

Where is this structure?

You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!

We should have a rule Paul of only one guess. Yes it's Wing but what year and why? Any idea before I post another?

Sorry Paul, I wasn't sure that this was a Guessing Game ! ? Duh ! My fault. But, for the same reason as Kebecker has stated. I Really Wanted there to be a Airport there, at that time ! At 15 years old, having just left School, what Better Place to wanna-work than a place Full o' Planes ? :) Just sooo-pleased now, that that didn't happen !

Was there a lot of woodworking going on then that required a lot of planes? :)

Forget which film it was in but wasn't there a line in one where the trainee pilots were told they were not planes but aeroplanes - Reach for Sky perhaps?

Where is this? No lists of the UK airfield stock please, just one entry per person per day. Thanks
