Two aerial photographs on Ebay of a Kent airfield. I can't identify it.

It's not Beaulieu but I have seen an aerial photo of that site which shows what I presume are anti-glider ditches near the perimeter. The pattern is similar to the 'Kent' field. Could it therefore be one of the other New Forest aerodromes?

It is Hartfordbridge (Blackbushe).

The top of the photo is approx SE.

They were on sale last year in the summer as I nearly bought the non cloudy one, because it was a nice early photo of the airfield.

The FIDO installation wasn't started until August 1943.

The "anti-glider" ditches are interesting.

RAE Farnborough used Hartfordbridge for glider trials before it was completed and handed over to the RAF; the presence of a couple of Horsas parked at the edge of the runway, plus a lack of parking/hangars south of the A30 road (top right) would indicate they're very early photos.
