Possible WW2 Airfield building ?

I took this photograph in April this year. Thought that I had some others from a bit later ? can't find them right now. This building has now been knocked-down, so no chance's of anymore, and replaced with a Shed. But as it was on the edge of a WW 2 Airfield village I was rather hoping for a connection.

Looks like quite a large building, can you tell us where it is, would be interesting to look through the various OS sheets to date it

Which airfield ?

Steeple Morden ! Home of the 355th FG. A turning (Left) off the A505 between Baldock and Royston. Roughly a mile or less on the right side. Half a mile or so before Steeple Morden village.



Also saw this in the drive-way to this building.

I have knocked, rung the bell, at this strange house on many occasions, but never got a answer. So took a few photographs from a distance.

Think it is post war, I could not see anything similar on the RSP and I am sure this has cropped up before, but for the life of me I cannot find the airfield thread. You had posted some nice shots of the memorial though
