Does anyone have any pictures they can post on here of the Lancaster Field in Sark? the story I heard was a Lancaster coming back from a raid and was badly shot up needed to do a force landing, they found a field and crash landed the Lancaster (belly landed in one field through a hedge and finished up in the next field) I beleive they all got out ok and after thinking they had crashed landed in the IOW only to discover they were on German Occipide Sark.

This was 49 Squadron Lancaster W4107 whose pilot was Sgt Singleton, 4 members of the crew had previously baled out over france, the remaioning 3, pilot and the two gunners became PoWs after landing
