Railway locations - Locations photographed but not remembered

My recent scanning marathon has thrown up a few unknowns as many of my slides fell out of their trays when we moved to our current house in 1987 and haven't been checked since!

This is the first of a few that I have been unable to track via Google Earth/Streetview. It is in Cornwall and we were staying in Newquay at the time (September 1986). I assume it is railway station but it could be just a coincidence.

Brilliant. I knew it was worth posting. I did originally think it was part of the old track from Newquay to Newquay Harbour but there were no stations on the branch. We walked that old track many times whilst staying there.

I can't recall the hotel we stayed at but it overlooked the bay and actually was live on our TV screen when we turned it on in our bedroom and near enough the same view was on the telly! The disused railways website is great and has helped confirm many old stations I had photographed. A few are even back in use or have a railway going through them again.

We walked across the bridge south of Padstow back in April 2012, it was very windy and freezing cold in that wind. We aim to cycle the Camel Trail at some point, safer than walking as the cyclists don't seem to see pedestrians.
