Don't think it is High Ercall, the lamps on the gate posts of the High Ercall image in the link to google earth do not match 673 and there is a difference in the number of steps at the guardroom entrance?

Tom

Hi Tom,

You may be right with the steps, but a 1997 image in Shropshire Airfields book does show the same lights on the gate posts, as in your image. also the image in the book also shows the bench behind the pillars in the same place, mmmm intriguing.

Just had some doubt about another tower photo I have. I have it recorded as Newton in 1986 but now I am not so sure? Anyone confirm which it is?
