The owner of these items was an an Air Gunner on Stirlings and died in a crash towards the end of WW2.
A number of documents and memorabilia have been found in the house, including the brown bag in the photo attached.
What is causing interest is the small "flag", not much larger than a big hanky, you can work out the size from the wings.
Any ideas what it may be? Could of course just be a keepsake sewn for him, but it looks a bit more manufactured.
Can we please try to identify all of the items in the photo please?

Looks like a pennant for a car, AVM or ACM? The pale blue faded to white but a trace left where the rod went through. Was he a driver at some point?

Certainly looks right for a car pennant.
Two thin red stripes = Air Vice Marshal. (An ACM's pennant would have two thick stripes.)

But does it pre-date WW2. When was the rectangular format for pennants changed to triangular?
