Are these military Nissen type huts

These two Nissen style huts are at the back of the old Brico works, Lockhurst lane Coventry and i mention them in the Radford Aerodrome Post. when I did not have a camera. I do not think they are connected to the WW1 Aerodrome but their War Department appearance has me puzzled as to what they may have been used for . Has any one any suggestions

I would say yes ! This Nissen hut is at Craster in Northumberland and I've always associated it with the nearby coastal radar station just above the village but I suppose it could have been any local military unit ?





Edit ; a quick look in the book 'British Military Airfield Architecture' by Paul Francis , and in need of a reprint , suggests these to be 24 feet span Nissen huts which were similar in design to the 16 feet span ones but with the addition of dormer windows . Result !
