My Google earth only goes back to 1999, and this looks more 60's / 70's to me.

Sadly Farnborough has changed a bit since then! I keep thinking I have seen that hangar before but can't recall if it was in person of via a photograph but certainly a few decades ago.
I kept thinking Boscombe Down but I think I'm confusing it with another building.

Reminds me of Stansted. The runway heading there is currently 22, but then again magnetic headings do change over time.

It was vacated by the AAC in about 1982; the replacement of its Scouts with Lynx meant there wasn't enough room to house all the helicopters so they transferred to Netheravon and an Army 'field hospital' (M.A.S.H.) occupied it until about 1995 from when it was left empty and finally demolished to make way for the office building which now stands on the site..

The hangar is a 'standard' design for the Army Air Corps(built early/mid 60s?) and was used initially by 664 Sqdn which was re-numbered 656 Sqdn in about 1980.
