MOD Byelaws

These have been referred to many times before but the MOD appear to have updated their website and the listing of various byelaws seems to be easier to acess than before.

I too had a quick look and found that the old site was easier to navigate! The term 'range' is used for sites such as aircraft ranges down to uninteresting small arms ranges:)

Is this not the Hunstanton Air-to-Air Range? - for some reason I have it in my head that it's associated with the AA range at Gore Point.

I think I have seen a copy of the Hunstanton Aero Range bye-law. I just can't remember where. I did get some hardcopy copies of files sent by someone, I'll have a rummage and see if it was in that.

Lived on Salisbury Plain until the 70's and never read one of the boards yet I walked passed them many times. I was there Sunday and all new fresh signs abound. The Plain was closed due to the dry weather and the chance of grass fires.

That tower looks of a similar design to Swinderby and Waddington.

In the Water Dean Bottom picture you can clearly see why it was used with that natural back stop

Sorry PNK its not, the valley meanders out onto the Plain and at times is very steep sided, More that it took skill to attack the targets. One day when I feel energetic I might have another walk up the bottom. See if I can find the Hunters that were there in the 70's.

It does look a very similar design, I thought that only two were built but this looks like a third one...
