AIR 10/4038 - In Print

I mentioned this in one of my posts under the National Archive.
The TNA bookshop had copies of Air 10/4038 (or it maybe the later one) in printed form nicely bound. It was in two volumes A-K and L-Z.
For those note familiar with this document it records airfield data on one page and include a location map and an aerial photo or layout plan on the other.
The volumes on sale have two drawbacks

• Each volume is £110.00
• The reproduction is poor and TNA scans are much better quality (depending on original of course)

Before you knock the price too much I noticed that other volumes of reprinted archive documents carried similar price tags and I suspect the print runs are very limited and probably not even breakeven on margin.

Probably worth considering as a reference book for an aviation library or similar.

I'd feinted at the price so didn't take note of the date or original document. Although one data sheet did state "as at ??/??/1942.

4039 is three times the size? I'll have to take extra batteries and memory cards!
