MAPPING - SECRET SITE DELETIONS REVEALED

The National Library of Scotland (NLS) has released a series of maps which, on original issue, had sites classified as SECRET redacted or amended.

This link shows a sample, the site being the Royal Naval Arms Depot (RNAD CROMBIE). Side by side shows the comparison with 'as drawn' and the redacted/amended version.

There may by something in the 'released' maps to interest Forum members.

Yes, presumably connected to military band activities. Other maps indicate mundane areas and structures for redaction or amendment suggesting that they may have been WD property.
