The cover picture is the same as my copy and no mention of a new edition that I can see on the Historic England website

OT but I'm having a similar problem with downloaded Navy Lists at the moment. For example the 2042-page January 1917 List states in its Table of Contents that RNAS Air stations are on page 431. Now that actually means 'section' 431 as for example there are three page 99s (99, 99a and 99b).
Now '431' actually appears on real page 820 which is headed 429-431 and has nothing to do with RNAS, but is Officers of the Coast Guard Districts. The next page is 432 which is Interpreters.
The pdf 'find' usually fails as the document uses a tiny font. I've looked up other RNAS sections e.g. Air Staff and Air Department and they appear in the correct place. It's not just this volume of the Navy List which has the problem - they all do. Why are they hiding their Air stations?
Plan A is always more effective when the problem you are working on understands that Plan B will involve the use of dynamite

I wondered about that. I have to say I find the second edition of RAF Flying Training and Support Sites very difficult to use with lots more data crammed into 20 per cent less pages. On numerous occasions I have groaned on visiting its index only to find the location I want is on 20+ pages. It frequently takes well over a minute to find the bit you need on each page, Sometimes I've failed completely to find a particular reference on a page. Turning it into a pdf would solve the problem completely but would dramatically reduce sales of the book at a stroke!...smaller font I wonder?

I found some very large PDF files on Admiralty files on my PC - no idea what files and as usual I probably intended to rename the file from the meaningless number name but forgot at the time. PDF search failed 100% bcause it only understands proper fonts and not typewriter print. Such a shame as I suspect there is some useful references in the 4000 odd pages, each of which contain many different references in date order and on foolscap!
I'm not sure about PDF versions as I find them hard to read for more than a minute or twoo and normally print out the interesting bits. It appears that shipping is 1-2 weeks so as I don't own a copy I suppose i can buy for £15-16 then and find if I have the full monte.
