Free access to FOLD3

Here's another site offering free access to military records in honor of Memorial Day in the US: Fold3.com. It, too, will be free until the end of day on the 31st of May (I'm a poet!)

If you have an Ancestry logon, use that. I don't know if a message board logon will work, but you could try it.

Monday, May 31,is Memorial Day in the U.S., a day to honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. From now through Tuesday, June 1, all military records on MyHeritage will be completely free to access.

"Normally, records on MyHeritage are free to search, but viewing the full record and saving it to your family tree is available only to those with a paid Data or Complete plan on MyHeritage. But this week, in honor of Memorial Day, anyone wishing to learn more about their ancestors’ military history will be able to access the full records at no cost."
