Have any ORBs been digitalised? Gone are the days when I could visit Kew to view and transcribe NAC ORBs. If they have , can a DVD be purchased of individual Station ORBs. If so, are they costly?

No Amount Of Evidence Will Ever Persuade An Idiot (probably not Mark Twain)

All the Squadron ORBs have been digitised, that is anything with "squadron" in its title, and are available to view on TNA's website albeit with a rather intrusive logo. Even 1GWTS was there.
Most operational periods cost about £3.50 for each month of the Summary of Events (Form 540) or Detail of Events (Form 541) with Appendices, where held can be purchased for the same price but for the complete file (some over 500 pages!). Be warned some of the operational months may be only a single page and in one case just said "Nothing to report" - Bargain!
Now I always look at the log preview before purchase.
If you are a paid up member of "The Genealogist" website then you can view the same Squadron ORBs as part of your subscription but without the logo or low quality preview. Not sure if there is any limitation but for looking up specific events can be a right pain as it demands a surname - it is a genealogist website - but once into any page you can use TNA reference to select the correct piece (file number) and the try to guess which page the information you want is on. Don't click to fast as it locks you out and sends you back to go!
Sadly no Group/Wing/Flight ORBS are online and I have no idea if they intend to add them as I suspect the squadron ones would be most beneficial to those tracing family history.
