HMSO 1938 Civil Aviation Inquiry - download

This is a TNA download which may be of interest to some

In the mid to late thirties the UK was attempting to rationalise its civil aviation problems. WWII ended that progress.

The document mentions a number of aerodromes and airlines and has a huge section on 'ice and aircraft' which is quite interesting. It would have cost you about 8p to purchase the report in those days.

Maps (unannotated) at the end of Synoptic weather stations and others

About 10% of it is very interesting

Plan A is always more effective when the problem you are working on understands that Plan B will involve the use of dynamite
