I was looking up one of the names on the BBC Broadcasting House Roll of Honour and came across the HMS SAKER records on in the UK, British Army and Navy Birth, Marriage and Death Records, 1730-1960.
HMS SAKER (there were several I, II etc) was an administrating base in Washington DC. From the record, it looks as if anyone from the services who died in America (and Canada?) had their death recorded at HMS SAKER. Lots of flying accidents so could be useful if trying to find the death of someone in the services who might have died in the USA.
