A number of posters have queried the purpose of the 'rings' set into the lorry road end of airfield HE Bomb Stores.
This film, though fuzzy, shows how the rings were used (or should have been!) and other 'trammeling' techniques. The tying of an appropriate knot in ropes used for handling was essential and I can still impress ex-sailors with my knot skills.
Seems that only Part 1 of 6 is viewable on-line and I couldn't get audio on my view. If someone knows where the other Parts might be available for on-line viewing please point.
