Without the areas referred to marked on a map its difficult to see how much is being sold off. The Salisbury Plain areas seem a lot but are probably small areas in reality. Just think of all the housing that could be built on those sites.

Interesting to see the pipeline installations on the list. I thought all the land would have been passed on at privatisation as a job lot. Why keep pockets aside? The RAF Newton note lists "retained land at Newton Gdns" Again, why keep a patch of MQ aside for no seeming reason.

I recall from my last visit that the building on the other side of the road from the Guardroom, perhaps the former NAAFI shop?, was occupied by the local ATC squadron, so that might be the explanation here

I have just looked again at the google map for Newton and Newton Gardens is the road(s) that were the former Officers Maried Quarters
