Well aware of 75 (NZ) Sqdn AA-N (R9245) and AA-Z (BK721) which both clipped the Devils Dyke on take off from Newmarket, but am informed of a Stirling seen passing over Dullingham station in flames around 5 pm on July evening in 1941. Informant, being a school boy at the time, was turned away from crash site which he says was between 4 Mile Farm and Lower Hare Park near the junction now of the A11/A14, with A1304..
This seems to be in bound, maybe using Newmarket as diversion. I can find no trace of it in various books/websites on Stirling losses and hoped maybe one of the members here can help. Sorry it is all a bit vague. I believe only 7 and XV Sqdn were operational with Stirlings then, but there would have been Conversion units around.
