DUXFORD - Honor Guard Memorial was created by WJT

A planning application has been submitted to install an 'Honor Guard' Memorial, which will be a replica of the memorial at Arlington.

The planning application states that the Wurzburg radar dish will be dismantled and stored, to make way for the 'Honor Guard'. The location is on the site of a former Bulk Fuel Installation. Local folklore has it that the tanks are still there, and still full of fuel!

Yes Bill,

When I supervised the installation of the Giant Wurzburg, the tanks were still there BUT sadly drained of all fuel,
