I can see the problems could be designing to withstand high winds, just hope that engineers involved and not artists or architects! I wonder if illumination by simulated searchlight beams would work at night?

Well if there is not going to be any public access, then there should at least be a public car park so we can stop safely to take photographs, even if it is from afar.
Bomber statue project hits funding shortfall due to COVID-19
A project to create a life-size statue of a Lancaster bomber at the gateway to Lincoln has hit a major snag after it emerged the project is £90,000 short of cash.
The sculpture, which is set to be created beside the A46 at Norton Disney, was granted planning permission more than two years ago.
