Spent just over 29 years in the RAF from 1976 till 2005, still in uniform with the ATC. Became an archaeologist whilst "in" and helped with the defence of the realm project on old airfields around Cambs, Lincs, Northants and Leics areas. Love old airfields and still like to visit and og reains where I can. Have many books on the subject but nothing beats walking around them.
