Tim Whittle - Fuelling the Wars

Just to say that, having just joined ARG, I am the author of the recently published history of the former Government Pipeline and Storage System - Fuelling the Wars - PLUTO and the Secret Pipeline Network 1936 - 2015. I have also have had 3 articles published in Airfield Review. As you may guess my main interest is in fuel depots and I hope to be able to answer some outstanding questions on the forum on them as well as hopefully glean new information. Tim

Thank you Peter, yes you are correct that I am also on the SE History Board. In fact it was from someone else on the SE Boards (no longer on there) that I first heard about Airfield Review and that I migh like to write an article for the magazine.

Due to being busy with my rather late in life history degree course, I have not been on the site for about a month. While I have been away all the topics to do with the GPSS and fuel storage depots seem to have disappeared or I cannot access them and I cannot easily spot them on the board, can anyone advise what has happened?

Thanks for the information, as I think will be clear from my posts, my main interest is in the pipeline system and fuel depots.

I do appreciate that concern prompted by the decline in membership and the need to raise to maintain the form. From other sites I am on/was on there seem to be a general decline in membership and in activity.
