One of those articles I would not normally stop at and read is this one. "Those drapes look like they cover hangar doors" I thought, sailing past. Seems I'm right:

Seems to have been used regularly for filming, hangar doors ideal for hanging the green drapes to allow any background to be inserted later.

.......at a disused RAF base five miles outside Bicester, Oxfordshire ......

This must refer to RAF Upper Heyford which is about 5 miles from Bicester as the crow flies since the walking distance from the centre of Bicester town to the main gates of RAF Bicester is just over a mile.I walked it many times during my time there.
