Another one for you all. Query has come up on Air-Britain, of an image I'm sure I've seen before but the IWM hasn't captioned. Anyone know? For no particular reason, I suspect something naval, but please prove me wrong.

Was going to. Image CH18722 BTW. Seems the ones taken prior to, and after this one don't give a location either. The tractor has "RAF" painted on the mud guard, the Spitfire is a 'long Merlin' variant and carries a Sky fuselage band, which suggest a non FAA aircraft, but I still suspect a navy field somehow.

Looking at the sheds in the background , assuming they are not farming related, could it be an MU airfield or a joint MU/Operational one?

The hangars in the backgound are possibly Belfast Truss with mods; the object at left appears to be either a winch or a cable drum.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the control caravan appears to be a bomber command type.
