Visited Syerston village today, as part of the National Garden Scheme. Fabulous cake, weather, people and gardens. Found this small dedication just by the church door today. Visible in the second picture, to extreme right & centre of image.
Lancaster R5677, ZN-A was lost with all crew (pilot Sgt Whyatt) on a sortie to Wuppertal. All are now buried at Reichswald. Details courtesy of Bill Chorley as usual.
